Generic Alli is used to help obese people who fit certain weight and height requirements lose weight and maintain weight loss. Generic Alli works in your intestines, where it blocks some of the fat you eat from being absorbed. This undigested fat is then eliminated in your bowel movements. Use Generic Alli together with a reduced-calorie diet. The weight management effects of Generic Alli continue only as long as you are taking it.
Generic Alli comes in easy-to-swallow capsules. Users should take one capsule before every meal. The active ingredients regulate the production of fat-absorbing enzymes, thus reducing the level of fat absorbed by the body.
Notes Generic Alli works in the stomach with some of the natural occurring chemicals. These chemicals, called lipases, are responsible for breaking down the large fat molecules into smaller components which are digestible for the body.
By inhibiting the action of the lipases in the stomach, Generic Alli prevents around a third of the fat molecules you eat from being digested and stored in the body. Patients on reduced calorie diets might experience a weight loss they could not have achieved on a diet alone.
It is important that patients on Xenical have a normal diet which provides all the nutritions the body needs to work. It is also recommended that patients take an extra vitamin supplement of some fat-soluble vitamins: D, E and K and beta carotene once a day at least 2 hours before or after taking Xenical, such as at bedtime.
Unlike most pills promising a weight loss, Generic Alli has been studied in clinical tests and has been proven to work. In one placebo controlled study, patients on Generic Alli lost on average twice as much over a 52 week period. All patients were on the same diet. Furthermore, the patients who were given Generic Alli lost an average of 13 lbs after 3 months and 19 lbs after 12 months.

Side Effects
Stop taking Generic Alli and seek emergency medical attention if you experience a rare allergic reaction including shortness of breath; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives. Other, less serious side effects are more likely to occur. Continue to take Generic Alli and talk to your doctor if you experience oily spotting, gas with discharge, an urgent need to go to the bathroom, oily or fatty stools, and an oily discharge, an increased number of bowel movements, an inability to control bowel movements, or orange or brown colored oil in your stool. The bowel changes listed above are a natural effect of blocking fat and indicate that Generic Alli is working. They generally occur early in treatment, particularly after meals containing higher amounts of fat than are recommended. These symptoms are usually temporary and lessen or disappear as you continue treatment and keep to your recommended diet of meals containing 30% fat. Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.
FAQs
If Generic Alli capsules only work on the fat in my food, how do I lose the fat in my body?
As you consume fewer calories on a reduced-calorie, low-fat diet — and use Generic Alli to block absorption of some of the fat you eat — your body will automatically tap into its fat stores and use them for the energy it needs. That can result in weight loss.
That depends on how closely you follow a reduced-calorie, low-fat diet, get regular physical activity, and take Generic Alli capsules as directed. Generic Alli promotes gradual, modest weight loss of about 1 to 2 pounds a week. If you could lose 10 pounds through dieting, you could lose 15 with hard work and Generic Alli. Results for each individual may vary.
How soon after taking Generic Alli capsules should I expect to see results?
If you follow a reduced-calorie, low-fat diet, get regular physical activity, and take Generic Alli capsules as directed, you should see results in the first two weeks. Most weight loss usually occurs within the first six months. If you stop using Generic Alli, continue with a diet and exercise program for help with weight loss. You may start to regain weight after you stop taking Generic Alli. In order to maintain your weight loss, you may need to continue taking Generic Alli along with a reduced-calorie, low-fat diet.
When you partner with the Generic Alli program, you’ll be able to eat meals that are both healthy and delicious. With the help of our healthy eating guide and interactive meal planner, you’ll find yourself indulging in flavorful meals and snacks every day of the week. And that’s important, because part of your success depends on how well you commit to a reduced-calorie, low-fat diet while taking Generic Alli capsules as directed.
The Generic Alli program is not about starvation or deprivation; so while it’s important to limit choices that are high in fat and/or calories, you will find that you can still enjoy many of your favorite foods in moderation.
How is Generic Alli different from other weight loss products?
Generic Alli is not a dietary supplement. It is an FDA approved weight loss product. Orlistat (the active ingredient in Generic Alli) has been extensively studied and safely taken by millions of people worldwide. Americans spend an estimated $33 billion on weight loss products and programs that in some cases are unregulated and unsafe. The absence of a proven safe and effective OTC product for weight loss has been a void in the nation's arsenal of weapons to fight the overweight and obesity epidemic. Orlistat is the only weight loss product approved by the FDA to go over-the-counter. Orlistat can help people lose 50% more weight than with dieting alone. That means if you could lose 10 pounds with a diet, you could lose 15 pounds working with Generic Alli. Individual results may vary.
